New forum: one month progress report
by Simon inwell, we survived the first month at least!
yes, the new forum is now 1 month old.. of course there have been some issues and i'm grateful that people have been patient while i worked on them.
a big thank-you to everyone who's been patient, have provided useful feedback or just been willing to adapt to something new during the transition.. i've also made some improvements along the way and am fairly happy with how things are from a basic functionality and performance perspective so it's time to start looking at some of the new features i've been planning.

Clever/snappy comeback for "you're an apostate"

i really don't care that i am an apostate, but would like to deliver a quick comeback or two to perhaps make the other person think.

Can't "sign in" on my phone..
by PaintedToeNail inhi, i can't seem to sign in using my phone.
it allows me to put my info in, but the little brown 'sign in' button doesn't work.
i've tried over the last few days and the same thing happens.

Not sure what kind of phone, or browser for that matter, you are using.

It is now 2003.... Where is Armageddon?
by Nosferatu ini find it extremely amusing how each year is passing without armageddon.
"for the year 2000, i visualize a world transformed into a beautiful paradise!
but i don't think that either the present world or its rulers will live to see that day.. we are living in the last days of the system of things.

Having issues signing in on an iPad/iPhone? Try this!
by Crisis of Conscience ini was having an issue only with the captcha part of signing in.
i was using the swype keyboard and kept getting rejected - the verify icon wouldn't light up.
i switched to the standard keyboard for ios and voila!

I'm 8.1.2. I don't have any issues on Safari.
It stays signed in for me. Weird.
At the moment I am having an issue with Chrome though on the iPad.

No longer an MS! Hooray...finally!

im no longer an ms.. as many would know from our chats via this forum, i've seen it coming for a while....and while the way it was done stinks, i'm really happy to finally be free!.

by Simon ini am going to switch the site over in the next hour, if you have any problems then contact me ([email protected]) and include as much information as possible about what is wrong, what you were expecting, what browser and version you are using etc... i'll also be monitoring the logs to proactively spot issues.. please be patient - i may be working on issues in preference to replying so don't get antsy if you don't get an immediate reply :).
unless there is a catastrophic problem i'll probably try and work through any issues but if things do go pear shaped when i might switch back to the old site.
if this happens then anything posted on the new one *may* be lost so hold off posting anything important without keeping a copy just in case.. .

I was having an issue only with the Captcha part of signing in.I was using the Swype keyboard and kept getting rejected - the verify icon wouldn't light up.I switched to the standard keyboard for iOS and Voila!That has worked every time for me now.Hope it helps somebody.I haven't confirmed any issues on Android. -

Simon, I can't seem to access any of the topics I created while the forum was JWN.Is that a known issue?Or are others reading this also having an issue?I went to verify and saw that it only happens when I'm signed in.If I sign out I can see all my topics.Otherwise I get a Not Found error.Thanks for your help!
